Effective materials management is crucial for project success in today's complex industrial environment. This series will guide you through the fundamentals of materials management and the development of Bills of Materials (BOMs) across different project types.
This program consists of four core components:
Basic Materials Management for Planners: Build a strong foundation in materials management principles and practices.
Fundamentals and Plant Specifics of BOMs: Master the essential elements of Bills of Materials and their application in your facility
Specialized BOM Tracks (Choose at least one):
BOM for Routine Maintenance: Focus on materials planning for day-to-day maintenance operations.
BOM for Turnarounds: Learn specialized materials management for large-scale turnaround events.
BOM for Capital Projects: Discover how materials management evolves throughout the capital project lifecycle.
BOM Integration with Other Systems and Best Practices: Learn how to effectively integrate BOMs with other planning and control systems.
To earn your certificate, you must complete courses 1, 2, and 4, plus at least one specialized track from course 3. This flexibility allows you to focus on the area most relevant to your role while ensuring you master the core fundamentals of materials management.
By completing this series, you will develop the skills needed to effectively manage materials throughout the planning process, ensuring your projects have the right materials at the right time, and in the right quantity.
