Before Planning Begins
In this first course of the Heavy Industry Planning Fundamentals courses for heavy industry maintenance and projects, you will gain an understanding of the importance of planning preparation. This is necessary to consistently produce quality plans and job packages, with sufficient time to procure materials and services before scheduling, execution, and control. Furthermore, it demonstrates how planning services contributes significant value to their customers at the workface and in the boardroom.
You will learn how to interpret scope of work and scope of scope as a prerequisite to successful planning. You will learn the basics of job package design for routine maintenance, major maintenance, and maintenance projects, as well as shutdowns, turnarounds, and outages. Additionally, you will gain valuable insight into the fundamental importance of how quality and safety are integrated into job plans and packages.
