Getting Started: How This eLearning Program Works

How This eLearning Program Works


Before you get started with your eLearning content, we want to share a few helpful hints. Please watch the short video on the left and/or review the content below.

Content Structure

The content is divided into Levels, Courses, and Lessons.
  • Each Level consists of multiple Courses.
    • The Courses need to be completed in sequence: successfully finishing one Course unlocks access to the next Course.
  • Each Course consists of multiple Lessons.
    • The Lessons need to be completed in sequence: successfully finishing one Lesson unlocks access to the next Lesson.
  • Each Lesson consists of multiple activities, videos, and written sections.

Levels

In order to earn a Level Completion Certificate, you need to complete all required Courses in the assigned order.

For example:
In order to earn the Level Completion Certificate for Level 0: Heavy Industry Planning Foundations, you need to complete all required Courses:

  • Course 1: Reliability Asset Management Program (RAMP) and Planning Services
  • Course 2: The Value of Planning
  • Course 3: Work Management for Planning
  • Course 4: Maintenance and Capital Project Budgets
  • Course 5: Variations of Planning for Heavy Industry

Courses
In order to complete a Course, you need to complete all required Lessons within that Course in the assigned order.

Note: Every Course starts with an Introduction and ends with a Summary, Assessment, Conclusion (called Congratulations and Next Steps), and an optional Final Course Survey.

For example:
In order to complete Course 1: Reliability Asset Management Program (RAMP) and Planning Services, you need to complete all required Lessons:

  • Lesson 1: Introduction
  • Lesson 2: Reliability Asset Management Program (RAMP) and Planning Services
  • Lesson 3: Maintenance Management Process (MMP)
  • Lesson 4: Course Summary
  • Lesson 5: Course Assessment
  • Lesson 6: Congratulations and Next Steps
  • Lesson 7: Final Course Survey (optional)

Lessons
In order to complete a Lesson, you need to study through the written sections, watch provided videos, and complete required activities.

For example:

In order to complete Lesson 1: Introduction to Reliability Asset Management Program (RAMP) and Planning Services in Course 1, you need to do the following:

  • Click on Explore this course in Course 1.

  • Scroll down to find Lesson 1 and click on it.

  • Click on Start Lesson.

    Please note that you can view the Lesson in full screen mode by clicking on the green FullScreen button. You can use the Esc key in the end of the Lesson to return to the regular-size navigation window.

  • A wide blue bar with navigation instructions indicates that you have completed the Lesson and are ready to move on to the next one.
    End of Lesson

  • Use the navigation pane on the right to proceed to the next Lesson.
